On Christmas I received a Wacom Bamboo graphics tablet, who I have happily named Amelia should any of you wish to know. Sadly, I was very sick on the twenty-fourth which meant I was sick over Christmas. It wasn't until recently that I could look at a computer screen without getting incredibly dizzy and nearly passing out on the spot. I'm doing a lot better now and am now working on getting practice time is for my manes and tails. I will admit, manes are easier to me than tails ever will be. Anyway, this was a not-so-quick manipulation I whipped up. The point of this manipulation is the mane and tail, not the picture as a whole. I will continue working with the horse until I am satisfied with it, I have plans of it being a character in the near future but not before I re-do the tail.

CRITIQUE IS NOT WANTED. I am already aware of things that need fixing, and I also have enlisted (though she does not know it XD) a friend to be my critic. I also got incredibly lazy on the tail, so I don't need people telling me things I already know. Comments, however, would be nice since this is my first attempt at drawing. I would like comments on the mane, not so much the tail, as I said, I got lazy. The tail will be re-done. Anyway, please enjoy my terrible blending xD;

  • The tail: As I said I grew really lazy and wimped out, especially on the lower portion of the tail.

  • The dark spots... I was trying to burn the horse because the top got blown out... again I grew lazy and forgot to do the burning on a separate layer... I'm using the horse in a forest for my actual off-DA picture... at least the spots will have a reason for being? XD

  • The forelock: >.<; It just bugs me.

  • Mane length: I totally made the lower portion (near the poll, it being lower due to horse's head being low) longer than it should have been...

  • The top of the tail! Recoloring screwed up the tail color but I still love the top of the tail. xD

  • The mane I am very happy with all together, there are some things that I don't like but all-in-all, for this being my first attempt, I'm very happy.

  • The "lower portion" (near the poll, it being lower due to horse's head being low), even though I screwed up the length I was really happy with how it turned out. Trying to make the sections was hard. As this was a strange position for horse hair to be in <.<; But yea!

I enjoy these a lot, even if you say you don't like things about them. Being a person who has no idea how to do things like that, you're a master. :D I like seeing things you make!!
